  • 花兒也被騙



    這裡的天氣好飄忽,十月尾下了一個星期的雪,
    這兩星期卻天天陽光普照,
    若不是太陽早走了,我還道是初春.

    可憐是我前園花圃的種子,真的以為是雪後初春,
    竟長出了嫩嫩的綠葉!

  • A new sauce


    This morning I saw my family doctor.

    She was happy with my 14 days blood glucose record.
    I am also happy because I don't need any medicine.
    Anyway, I still have to be careful about my diet and to watch the calorie intake.
    I guess that is also part of getting old.
    As we get old, our metabolic rate falls and the cells are not so functional in absorbing the sugar.
    That's one of the causes of diabetics.
    High blood sugar level is very dangerous as it causes many complications like nerve and vision damage.
    The symptoms are not visible at preliminary stage and can only confirmed by blood test.

    The bad news is my blood pressure is still a bit high and she recommended me not to take fish sauce.
    Now I have a new task, i.e. making a new sauce for my Vietnamese dish with much less fish sauce.

  • 心意合一的第六式

    所謂意到氣到,第六式耍得好,能帶動氣的游走,氣順人和,心境舒暢.

    雙滕微曲,雙手先放腰間,
    隨著呼氣,兩手慢慢向後,經過耳背,向上伸至最高;
    然後開始慢慢吸氣,兩手於前方放下收回腰間.

    做時心意集中在兩手,心隨手動,那麼便能帶動氣的循環.

  • a day trip



    As November is the report card month,
    James had a really hard week filled with loads of homework and test almost everyday.

    To let James relax after this hard week, we had a day trip in Red Deer, Leduc & Wetaskiwin.
    James had a wonderful day exploring other cities and enjoyed his day shopping for interesting stuff.

    As these cities are within 2 hr drive of Edmonton. We returned home early at around 5pm and
    relax at home after the busy day trip.

    Sometime we need a getaway from our daily routine for fun.

  • 鬆弛神經的第五式

    第五式係我最喜歡,亦係好久才學曉,因為左右手的配合比較難,
    學曉後,我耍時心境會平和下來,好舒服.

    這式雙腳微曲,兩手放腰間,一邊慢慢呼氣,一邊雙手擺動,
    一手斜斜向上指天,一手斜斜向後指腰背,回手正中像抱著球般;
    然後慢慢吸氣,兩手收回腰間.左右手交替共做49次.

    初時我覺得好難,現在我卻很享受那鬆弛的感覺.
